I have my leaf/gearbox setup suspended in the engine bay (BMW 2002 1973)

I need to fab up some motor mounts, the original ICE was mounted to the sub frame. It doesn't look possible to do this as the steering parts are in the way.
My next thought is to build a cradle out of 2x2 box section steel and either welding it to the cars chassis rails with mounts attached to the cradle . Do you think that this a ok idea. I'm open to suggestions . Here's some pics as the motor sits now.

I would take the ICE mounts, set them in place and see how to take some 3/16" flat stock to connect the motor to them. Remember, the Tq will likely be substantially higher than with an ICE, so three points of securement to the motor, per side would be a good plan.

On the "Xceed Motorsports LLC" Instagram page. It's for a 1972 BMW 2002, BMW S62 V8 swap, but it should give you some ideas.
The only thing I would do differently would be to place two large angle iron brackets, one on each side, on top of the rails, and weld the pipe to them. This would give you the option of sliding the assembly fore & aft while deciding on placement.
And maybe make something similar to support the transmission mount.
