Ive calculated that my gmc jimmy gear ratios indicate that my 9 inch motor will see 500 amps on a hard takeoff at 62 RPM.

will the motor be able to take that much amperage at that RPM? What can I do to help it not meltdown?

it shouldnt be that much of an issue because your only pulling that amperage, at low rpm for a short amount of time. or downshift?

a 9" may be a little small for a suv, depending onhow long it is, but you can install a 12v blower into the motor but you will have to remove the an within the motor to do this.

I thought the 4 wheel drive was taken out of the jimmy before I got it but was happy to see all the 4 wheel drive parts still there.

Ive looked up the ration in the 4 wheel drive transaxle and found out the low gear was 2.72. the high gear is 1 to 1. paired with the 3.42 in the rear end I get a nice 9.30 to 1 ratio.

that means the motor will be at 112 rpm at 1 mph.

Ill just put the motor to the transaxle.

I am going to be using a kostov 10 inch motor now instead of a netgain 9 inch.
