Now if that came in 500amp 120 volt as a FR contactor I would be more interested.

There are also evacuated type contactors (aka vacuum) that can switch extremely high currents on the market and don't wear out as fast as more traditional models.

Real relays don't have 1 volt drop across the contacts. Real relays are also much more likely to survive brief overloads or transients. A relay that needs a heat sink and is most likely to fail when you really need it is not my idea of an improvement. I may be a stick in the mud, but I'll take real air space for safety, thank you.
