I've made my intentions clear on a Spitfire forum. They've been invaluable during the restoration process and I thought it'd be nice to try and inspire them to think about converting their own cars. I've gotten a lot of support from people who acknowledge that getting rid of the unreliable parts in a Spitfire is a good idea. I only had one negative-nancy, who called my conversion classless. He was told to find another thread by the other members.

I emphasized that I was starting with a rustbucket and getting it back on the road. I think most of them agree that this is a good thing, even if it doesn't break down all the time anymore.
