How should I transport tesla battery modules?

I am moving across the country soon and was hoping to get some advice on what I should do with my 5 Tesla Model S modules.

These are my options at the moment:
1. Carry in my primary vehicle during road trip (leaning towards this).
2. Store in donor vehicle which is being shipped (not insured by shipper/susceptible to damage).
3. Ship to new address (I'm guessing this will cost a bit).

For 1 and 2, I anticipate putting each module in an enclosed, wooden box purely for physical protection.

I don't think I will have time to install battery mounts, unfortunately. So, wanted to check here to see if anyone else has done this before and what your experience was like.
