Or...maybe there was just an issue with the data transfer and the site just needs to be re-synced. There is no lost or deleted data, there have just been some issues with the cutover, so the database has fallen out of sync. The techs are looking into getting this resolved, but the process takes some time to complete. Your patience is appreciated.You didn't do anything wrong.
