Hi, have the opportunity to obtain 12 at right price, 400x230x200. Each cell measures 1.1v. Are they suitable for Ev's ? What would their original use have been? Thanks

More than likely they were in a BUS. 12 of those single cells won't be much. How many are you purchasing? These are NiCad and are full of toxic heavy metal but with care they may last a very long time. You need to be sure you have a charger that will properly handle the NiCad's. Nice catch if they are all good. Do not over charge or over discharge them. Do your research.

Thank you for your reply. There are 12 with 3x 1.1v cells in each,so appr. 39 v. My Electro dynamics motor is 36v:)

You running 36 volts in a car? Good deal if they are useful for you. That would be an excellent set up for my Cushman Truckster. But since I now have lithiums I will go that route.
