I saw this about silver wire replacing copper due to the increasing cost of copper making silver appear more attractive to manufacturers. Everything I can find, what little there is, makes the case for silver wire over copper.

Okay, what I am looking for is someone who can tell me why none of this matters and that we should continue using copper. Please show me that silver is inferior to copper for some OTHER reason than cost. I know it tarnishes easily, but with a thin coating like enamel or copper, this is already addressed. I would gladly pay the extra cost to get a lighter, more efficient, more powerful motor in the end. Now please play devil's advocate and tell me why silver won't accomplish this goal.
I am also curious if anyone knows if solid core silver wire or silver lintz wire would produce better results in an electic motor.
