I am looking at chargers that'll dump 120-125v DC into a 5s tesla module pack. (on my sailboat which has a second 25kwh solar battery at 24v and a 5000kva inverter)
I'm leaning toward AC chargers as it'll be simpler and my inverter will auto switch from shore/generator/battery and I have solar to feed the battery as well.
All the chargers in the realm of solar, DC/DC I've used so far seem to be a set C rate. I'd really like it if there were a charger with a variable amp rate so that I can tune the draw.
It may be simpler just to run a couple of chargers - bigger for when shore power is available and smaller for when I'm leaching off my solar pack.
Thoughts?
