Aloha, What is available as a LCD screen to monitor EV functions? Has anyone maybe mounted a netbook or tablet in the dash and installed programs to measure cell voltage, program for the zilla, maybe send the signal from a Link10 or Paktrkr, etc? What is out there for a DIY person,,,,, not wanting to spend $2,000 or so.

It may be a bit too techie for me atm. I had more of a vision of mounting a netbook into the dash. And then I see celllog8's with usb cables, Zilla communicating via hyperterminal, and wondering if anyone put it all together and could suggest components that work. I am not at the solder and PC board level. thanks

I went with a car pc and a 7 inch touch screen. I have bluetooth and wifi.

www.mp3car.com is the most active site I know of
Were you thinking of something like this, or perhaps this?

I can imagine mounting one of the newer Android tablets in the car.

Two awesome links! Someone needs to develop a display unit with wiring interface along with the bluetooth. This is rather exciting to learn! Gauges can be a challenge to place but a small TFT display like a large GPS would be simple to mount on the dash somewhere.
