I'm looking mainly for reading material, and i dont know exactly what to search for in order to find it.

I'm working on converting a kids ATV to a EV, and looking at the torq, plus rotational speed of the motor i got (48v, 1800w), i have more than enough torq, so i was thinking of trying to find a way to increase the rotational speed using that torq by creating some kind of gear. I'm not looking to do a full out transmission, just a fixed gear to increase the rotational speed at the tires.

Essentially, i'm looking for a good book or site that i can read and understand that would help me get to the point of being able to do this. It would result in either a gear box or some kind of chain loop as much as i can figure.

Thanks ahead of time if you have any info.

Easiest way is to increase voltage. 60 volts through a controller would work.

Look up industrial worm drives or conveyer drives.
