Motor testing and grounding

Hi.

I finished with electric motor installation so now is everything ready for first start. 11KW AC Motor is connected to transmission and the other end of the shaft is connected to starter which is connected to vacuum pump.

As controller i'm using Simens Midimaster 40KW inverter.

I tested the motor with this controller, when the motor was outside of the car, now when it's in i have some questions regarding electric security. Controller will be connected to 3 phase AC ( for test ).

I dont know how is this in praxis but i need suggestion regarding grounding.

Question:
Do i need to make some special grounding or is it enough to connect 3 phase on the motor and controller and make the grounding directly on those two ?

Thank you in advance.

Refer to the controller manual. I assume it will tell you to properly ground the system. If you are powering it from the mains, you should have an earth connected to the vehicle chassis and to the motor and to the inverter which is common to the earth for the mains. I assume you're at 230V AC or higher. You don't want to make a mistake here and kill yourself :(
