Is "DC Series-Wound" & "DC Separately Excited" motors are the same?
No. They have the same type of rotor (armature) winding, commutator, and brushes; however, the field winding of a series-wound motor is in series with the rotor winding (so the same current goes through both), while the field winding of a separately-excited motor is in parallel with the rotor winding, so the current in it is unrelated to rotor current.

Can both be used for Regenerative feature?
A separate field winding allows control of the motor in generator mode for regenerative braking. Generally, it is not feasible to control a series-wound motor for regeneration.
