Hey guys
So this will be my very first EV build, I have a Toyota glanza gathering dust in my mom's garage. the engine blew and I already sold the tranny to a friend so the next best option is to convert it into an EV. I am not looking for long range or high speed but just for something I can zip around the neighbourhood with, drive to friends houses etc, I won't be going on highways or things like that.

I have been looking at some hub motors because like I said I already sold my car's transmission and picking up another one would be way too expensive

since I am not concerned with long range I have also been looking on Amazon for some SLA batteries and I think these might do the trick, of course, I will buy more and connect them in series for a total of 72v

are the products good and if not do any other recommendations will be greatly appreciated also what else would I need to get my ev up and running?

$2200 US for a 12kW hub motor is a lot of money.

I don't know what the salvaging situation is like in south america, but, I would go with the typical used forklift motor instead.

Or maybe two hydraulic pump motors from 2 forklifts (smaller than the drive motors).

Just how much of your transaxle is gone?

You don't need any gear reduction, but you will need some way to spin the wheels.

Lead-Acid batteries are a bad choice. I would order some Chevy Volt lithium cells, they should be both cheaper and better.

Salvaging here is non-existent as for the motors well it's a dual kit. As for my transaxle everything is gone sold my buddy everything for about 400$ I think idk it was a long time ago.
