I got a converted miata partially disassembled.
I downloaded from ev west the soliton1 schematic
I cannot find any contactors or shunt and only a minimal amount of fuses.

I have a couple of mystery boxes that I was hoping someone could identify
and point me to the schematic that this was wired up with.

I so want to trash the old system and go with what ev west suggests, but P.O. had it running for 10k miles.

I have 12kh of batteries coming replacing 6k both at 144v and should handle 700a from the battery.

here are the two boxes

Ha. The first one is a fuse holder, why.
The second one has a sets of leads that go to the passenger compartment/ back set of batteries- I'm still tracing many- and a set going to another box that is some type of distribution for the charger.

Thanks for the reply.
It's way too hot out to trace them right now. They all go into the dash area. The cars gauges look stock but maybe the P.O. swapped out the fuel gauge guts for analog voltage.
My next day off, on Friday, should drop down to a chilly 70. I will be climbing under the dash to see what it looks like and why he did he place this in the engine compartment.
