Hey Guys, My name is sam and I convert cars for a living. I converted an Audi S5 to all electric, using a tesla motor, and full tesla pack. I split the motor and inverter and created a custom gear reduction, that then powers all four wheels.

Here is an article talking about that build.

https://www.thedrive.com/news/22652/some-madman-tesla-swapped-an-audi-and-its-fantastic

But anyway the point of this thread is to let you guys know that I developed a display to be used in electric vehicles. Its purpose is to give any vehicle an OEM look, as well as all the functionality you would expect from an OEM car. So it will display all the relevant vehicle information such as speed, rpm, battery state of charge, instant power, etc. It also has a dynamic range that changes based on how you drive as well as an effieicny graph to see how well your driving. It also have a built in navigation system that also shows you all the charging stations in north america, making it easier to plan trips. It also has internet, bluetooth, TPMS system, internet radio, etc. It can also display any and all error messages that can be sent over the canbus.

You can get more information and see pictures of it at my website polykup.com

I hope you guys like it!

I’m very interested in this, I assume it runs on CAN? Does it work with Orion BMS? Or is this just for Tesla drive setups?
It does work over CAN. It is plug and play with the Orion and tesla drive unit. It also supports HPEVS, Hyper 9, and Cascadia motions motors. It is very easy to change the canbus codes to make it support a new motor/bms/Dc-Dc, etc. I will release a windows based gui sometime soon to let the user do this on his own. For now I can just set it up for a new configuration very quickly.

Thanks man, That was the idea to give it everything you could possibly need in a car. I priced it to be competitive with other high end after market radios that go into the car, except with my system you get a full integrated package, not just music, navigation, etc.

The display looks fantastic man..
I've a couple of questions -
What size is the unit? Double DIN, single DIN?
Is the screen size the same as the rest of the unit?
Can the screen be removed or replaced with a another of another size?
How much does it cost?
Perhaps you can post the details on the Classified or Vendors sections on the forum.
Cheers!

These are tablets. They come in 7", 10" and 11.56" sizes, IIRC. The info is all on his website listed above.

My base unit comes as an all in one package with either a 7 inch or a 10 inch display. The mid tier is basically a box with an HDMI output that you can use with any HDMI display. This lets you design the system exactly how you need it in your vehicle.

Pricing is on my website and again depends on how you configure it.
