Hi, I am new here from Belgium

Has anybody converted a Mercedes SL (70-80's) R107 model?

I would like to make it a nice day trip cruiser with SL500 equivalent performance (240HP, 400Nm), and a 400-500km range (~ 300 miles).

Still need to make all decisions on motor batteries etc.
All suggestions and pointers are highly appreciated.

Also, homologation might be an issue in Belgium. Anybody here from BE with experience?

In the meanwhile I am reading though all those great conversion threads here....

Homogotation is most often done by exporting the car to Germany or Romania, then importing it back.


But I don't know the procedure. I'd be quite intrested as well.
