Nissan leaf motor info

Does anybody offer a leaf motor to a flat flange to mount to a driveshaft. I’m not wanting a transmission. I got the motor with the controller, but could I just get an aftermarket controller and not use the leaf controller. This is going in a small boat , that had an original 4cyl Chevy engine.

@Bratitude can get you halfway there

You likely will only make about 25hp with direct drive to a 3,000 rpm prop, though, unless you are running it through a drive with a reduction ratio in it.

I was planning a 3-1 reduction box

i have couplers and adapter plates, id recommend a solid mount to a T-case and nothing linked via drive shafts. lots of loss, added weight and complications.

the leaf motors bearings will not support a drive shaft/flywheel/etc

I saw this "divorced coupler", but decided to use a transmission for my use. Might work for you...

pretty sure this guy just ripped off my old design I made public. its nearly identical
torque trends has a 2-1 reduction that bolts right on to a em57
from there you can go into a drive shaft
Resolve-EV controller works with LEAF hardware and will work for you.
