Hi all,

I'm a new member noodling around with different ideas for a conversion. I originally was thinking a minivan, like a Caravan with the Stow-n-Go seating (thought that would be a great place for the batteries). But, I don't think they come with manual trannys and I'm trying not to bite off more than I can chew with this project.

So, then, I thought about wagons - they are plentiful and lots come with manual trannys.

I saw a CL ad for a '99 Passat wagon (only 99K miles, nice condition, leather, power, etc.) with a blown motor for $800.00. I searched around for info on here, but didn't find anyone who had done a conversion. Any thoughts?

I just found etischner's conversion thread(s), so nevermind the question,... it looks like a great conversion candidate!
