so your just wanting a window where it shows either one or the other plug? Would a home fuse box cabinet work?
Or could you make the retractable one such that it locks into a position to allow a firm connection to another plug? (slot into a holster type arrangement)
failing that I would just run the retractable one to your garage socket. (or install 2 chargers just for giggles lol)
