Hi I have a rover 3500s where the V8 is shot, but the rest is fine. It has been sat at the back of the garage behind the other bits for a long time now and I would like to consider some options on converting to a like for like spec, using electric motor. I am a reasonably confident diy mechanic having put back on the road a couple of vehicles, and a profesional Sparkie to boot as well as a solar pv installer. My questions are what would you advise get this done? Vehicle weights in at 1250kg with existing engine, does a 110 miles an hour top end with 0-60 time of around 10s. Not to fussed on range but 60 mile would be my minimum. My budget would be around the £3000 mark would like to leave the gearbox and clutch in place as they are working well. Any advise before I start would be most welcome

The best advice I can give you today is to go to the Fully Charged Live show in a couple of weeks (here). Many converters from this forum will be on hand including Anne Kloppenborg, Chris Hazell, Mike Skooling, and myself :)
