This thread is designed to allow you to post your location on a map so others can find out who lives nearby. The idea is to allow for networking with other DiY'ers. You do not have to put your exact location, just something nearby. Choose a major interchange or a shopping mall or something if you are concerned about privacy.

To add your location just click on the link below:

Link to ZeeMaps for DIYElectricCar.com

You should be able to add your location by using the "ADD" button on the far right.

I suggest using the DIY username as the name of the entry on the map so others may find you on DIY.

Enter a location on the map using the map zoom and pan tools and the button for "click on a map location"

Enter a description for your location : perhaps your conversion details.

Press the "submit" button.

Once submitted you can edit the entry to add more details. To edit, just click the marker and then click on your name and it will open up the edit field. You can add details to your marker as well as some media files if you like. You can also click on the little link at the bottom to relocate your marker.

They quit putting up wanted posters in post offices. They said all of mine were taking up to much room. The map is great!
There are 4 or 5 other ev’s with in 50 miles of me. I tried to get something going but they all have busy lives. We have hot rod shows, antique cars, VW meets, and more here in Eureka Springs. It would be neat to have an Ev get together here. These hills would put the cars to a test.

Very cool to see people all over the map. Australia and New Zealand as well as a small island in Greece. It is quite interesting to see the locations fill in.

It seems like the additions have slowed. It was fun watching them getting added at a rapid pace last month.

Still see more people getting added. Starting to fill in nicely now. I see at least one person like to update frequently and is currently on a cruise ship to Hawaii.

looks like the thread stalled out...too bad. It was fun to see the map populating while it lasted. Some really cool build links out there.

Done. Surprised there aren't more of them unless this map is new.
it is growing slowly. every time I come back to look there are a few more. I agree it is not growing as fast as i thought it would, but it is pretty cool to see the links to some of these builds around the world. And some quite close to home.

Just added mine. I meant to do it before, but forgot about this. Bump this thread once in a while, so people realize it exists.

Maybe it should be a sticky?

Is there a way to make multiple users in the same (city) location stand out? Soccerdad and I are both in Columbus and there is only one visible marker (even tried different a color). You to hover back and forth over it to figure out there are two people.

just came back to look at the map and there are a few more listed. I wish it was sticky as well, but don't know who to ask.
