Sorry, I'm a few days behind in my EVDL mail.

I can't be sure without having it in hand, but the meter shown in the Ebay
auction looks similar to the ones that have been available for many years
from the cheap electronics mail order houses for around $10-12 each.

I bought one of those cheapies quite some time ago. I didn't expect much
and got about what I expected. It appeared to be a "minimalist" design -
just a chip-on-board and a handful of supporting components. It looked like
the guts of a $3 Harbor Freight DMM. I didn't think it was likely to do
well with the electrical noise, moisture, and thermal stresses a vehicle.
