Re: [EVDL] George Gless, 1917-2011
All,
Let me try and finish this before hitting send this time!...
Although I've only known Mr. Gless since 1900 and 99, when I got into
electric vehicles, I grew up very near him. He represented what was
good about the old Boulder that I am from. My babysitter's husband,
Mr. Henry Pardi, was a lot like him, a kind man that helped me fix my
bicycle back in the '60's. In fact, while driving to my first DEVC
meeting held at the Gless Manor, I recalled a childhood memory of
being on the adjacent elementary school playground, and seeing a green
car drive by with the word ELECTRIC on it. I mentioned this to Mr.
Gless, and he verified that he did indeed drive a green EV at the
time, a CU project that his students were involved in. I could go on
and on about how he helped me as a newbie, but suffice to say that I
will attempt to fill his EV shoes, and as they are big shoes to fill,
I will need a lot of help!
