Since it is a 9" and 150lbs, it's approximately the
same size as the 96V EV motors that GE gave away to
high schools and universities back in 1992-94.
I would think with a little TLC from Jim it would make
a nice EV motor. I can't imagine them making major
changes to the design to save costs, in fact I believe
the 96V series motor just had a different field
winding but were basically 3-5 klbs forklift motors.
Has anybody on the list bought one and tried it?
I'm pretty tempted, but I'm sure shipping would be at
least as much as the motor.
