Re: [EVDL] It is time to raise the bar, to more "Sophisticated" Conversions !

My 39 battery, 64 mile range number was based on the volume defined by my motor's high point, firewall, fender to fender (my motor almost touches), and includes the radiator. Height might have been tight, but 26 batteries 42 miles range certainly would fit with ease.

This should hold for any Chevy 350 V8. How far you could go beyond would vary car to car. The Camaro is a very tight packaging of the Chevy V8, so it's a good test case. Note you could still cram more batteries down low. either side and ahead of the electric motor, but I figured that's where the controller, charger, and DC-DC would go.
