that's not true for rpm Victor. only power from torque/amps is thermal.
power through voltage (which is where higher rpm draws from) is
thermally free. lossless.
the only limiter rpm wise for the motor is mechanical. either brushes,
bearings, or break apart from centrifugal forces. as far as I undestand
so far

There will be thermal losses caused by mechanical friction; this will
increase with RPMs. Also, magnetic hysteresis losses will increase
with speed. In DC motors, though, these losses are small compared to
resistive heating.
