Another major problem for EV's that could easily be fixed is the out of
control "speed limits". What happened to the national 55mph limit? It
quietly went away as gas shortages eased.. Now its common to see 80 to 90mph
speeds on freeways. I just dont understand why the government doesn't
require autos to have a 65mph limit hardcoded in their ECU. The insurance
companies would like it, so would the police and alot of other folks. What
argument could be made against such a limit? Ever seen a ford focus
speedometer? It goes up to 140mph, wtf?
