Re: [EVDL] Remote State of Charge Display?

I can check the details of my vehicles with cell phone ( Nokia E90 or
any SSH/HTTP client)

I can program the CPU to send me SMS or email on any set trigger. (full
charge, car om fire, jack ass picking the lock :)

This is done with Debian Linux CPU + 2/3G .

Key chain could be with BT chip. It could receive the status
notifications from cell phone. But .. hey.. aren't the smallest cell
phones already in "key-chain-class" ? Or how about beeper.. Didn't you
guys in US have some sort of nation wide paging system ?

Re: [EVDL] Remote State of Charge Display?

This sounds very cool.

There are a lot of CarPC frontends out there but I don't think any of them
are set up to take in Emeter/PakTrakr serial feeds.

Ideally there needs to be a plugin for that, and also a way to get an RS232
speedometer stream either from a hall-effect sensor or something that hooks
up to the speedometer cable from the transmission.
