I used to live 40 mins away in Silicon Valley and there
are about 4 or 5 EAAEV chapters within reasonable distance,
so I bet one of those hundreds of EV enthusiasts should know
what is going on.
Why don't you call a few nearby chapters?
They are often well connected.
If nobody knows then there may be someone who is making the
trek over the Santa Cruz mountains anyway and can detour to
Felton to check on Mike and Shari.
Heck, post an ad on Craigslist to find someone who is local
and can give you an update!
If I happen to travel back to HQ soon then I may visit them,
(I was in Felton often but never looked for EA)
I hope that it is a temporary issue.

Bill has a good point. These people have been highly regarded by the EV
community for a long time, have written books and articles and provided
good products and support. Perhaps someone could determine the cause of
their current lapses in service before jumping in with lawsuits and
derogatory comments. They may have suffered some sort of disaster from
which they are trying to recover. Is anyone on the list close enough to
them to run over and see what is happening?
