I work with a recycler up in Wisconsin. He pays me $0.10 lb. But they need to be disassembled and discharged before he can accept them. Not a lot of money, but better than having to pay.
Im assuming you have modules, since the whole pack weights much more than that.
I usually put some nichrome ribbon across the terminals, long enough for a slow discharge. I dont leave anything overnight.

I have a shop up in Atlanta, GA. If you happen to make your way up there, you can drop them off. I cant pay you for them bc i will need to send them up north, but i have shipments going back and forth that these can go on.

They may still be usable, like someone else mentioned. One mans junk is another mans treasure.
