Hi all,

I have been wondering if there are any off the shelf ways to get regen current to operate the brake lights.

I am thinking that if you completely lift your foot off the gas at speed you wouldn't really want to wait until you use the disk brakes before letting the car behind know.

Is there a simple off the shelf solution for this?

Thanks,

Alec

Better still... in order not to have to calibrate the back current wrt braking force I have just seen the ST g-Brake system that could be used on its own as a high-level brake light of I supposed it could also be wired in to the rear light cluster if the bulbs have been replaced with LEDs. It also has a progressive brightness that responds to braking force which seems nice.

Does anyone have experience with this kind of thing?

Thanks for insights.
