With the Leaf on its way out and the Ariya replacing it, DIY EV enthusiasts may be interested in this video overview of the powertrain components of the new CMF-EV platform.

It looks like, as with the Leaf, the motor will be salvageable for use with a different transmission without modifying a shared motor/transaxle housing or building a custom motor housing.
