Hi Guys,

I converted my Saab 900 to electric 25k miles ago and it has been great....until my Soliton junior controller died Friday on the way to work.
Looking like IGBT desaturation.

I’m looking for help-
a. Does anyone have schematics for the Soliton?
B. I’m trying to contact Wolftronix but can’t seem to get an email to him. Does anybody know how to get to him. I understand he repairs Soliton.

The Saab has been my daily driver for the last three years and I don’t want to go back to ICE again.

This is a video from happier days !

( I sorted out the nasty whine from the power steering pump)

Thanks,
Tom

I sent Wolf an e-mail and he responded that he is locked out of DIY EC due to password expiration. He moved and switched Internet providers, thus his registration e-mail has changed and he cannot reset his account password.

His website is:

http://www.wolftronix.com/EV.htm

high res images of the disassembly and repair are at:

and the videos of the Soliton 1 repair are at:

He does discuss the circuitry along with identifying the components for the IGBT and gate drive circuit that failed in that controller.

The Sol Jr uses a single IGBT and has a different set of film caps.
