Due to current life circumstances I need to part with this project car.

It’s a 1984 Porsche 928S that was converted to an EV by a prior owner.

It’s been sitting in the driveway for a few years, the battery pack is removed, but remaining parts include:

Zilla 2k controller w/ hairball
Advanced DC FB-4001A Series Wound DC 9" w/ set of replacement brushes
Motor mounted to stripped transmission, 2 remaining gears
Torque tube to rear wheels
Elithion BMS that was never installed
Replacement plexiglass rear hatchback & quarter panel windows
Misc wiring, fuses, gauges, relays

Needs to be towed.
Currently registered as Planned non-op in Santa Clara, CA.

Has a CA EV title.

Asking $1000

Is plexiglas street legal for car windows? I didn't think it was.

Agree with Matt that the rear wing is hideous and I'd note that it goes against wanting a low Cd (low drag) that the car body might have offered otherwise.
Yeah. Forums suck so bad for solving problems, contributing to others' projects, and learning stuff.

See you on eBay
Downforce is not free. It gets paid for in drag.
All I see I a bunch of spray cats not looking to buy the car, just pick it apart and be internet tough guys. EABOD
What you see is what you want to see.

We may pick the car apart and learn things (like discuss drag, plexiglas windows, and 4 wheel steering methods for this model to LEARN and exchange ideas that may benefit other builds), but you picking it apart to resell the pieces is pissing on the hundreds of hours put in by the original builder. Nobody here but you is doing that.

People usually join this forum to restore cars. You not having any use other than reselling the pieces is being a parasite vs a craftsman.

The point of the pricing is to have someone restore the work. OP can resell the zilla and hairball for the ask on the whole car.

The car's worth double the ask, imo. Nobody should double their money for taking four bolts off.
yay...hopefully will be restored vs picked apart
