Hi I know this was years ago now but did you ever get an answer to the situation? I have a similar situation with my Soliton1 where my multi-meter picks up full pack +voltage at both motor terminals of the Soliton1 (Only tested when turned off) and my car drives normally and exhibits no problem at all?

I only discovered this by accident as I was tracking down a separate (I think) charging issue that turned out to be a blown fuse in my charger-to-pack circuit (therefore the charger wasn't connected to the pack). I don't know if the fuse blew because the motor controller put pack positive to my chassis via a motor frame carbon track "earth leak" (that I've also now discovered)..... better get in there and blow out some brush dust hey!

Anyway hopefully someone knows how or what can remedy this situation? It can't be normal for the Soliton1 to have the full pack positive terminal voltage on both motor terminals when the unit is off.. can it?...

Cheers guys
Mike.

Just did some more checking with an old incandescent 240v light globe from pack negative terminal to either of the motor terminals of the Soliton1 and it glows and then dies down in brightness the longer you keep it in circuit. I didn't leave it connected very long just in case this caused damage inside (pre charge circuit? Or who knows??).. didn't want to risk it as my motor controller still seems functioning normally but I wanted to know if the problem was full pack voltage or some kind of stray voltage from capacitor or something? Seems it's NOT the same potential as the positive terminal of the battery pack (multi meter makes it look that way) but seeing as how the incandescent globe dies down in brightness it's obviously some other cause... I just want to know why and if it's supposed to be like this??

Anyway hopefully someone has an idea.
Cheers guys
