Does anyone have experience with running 12-13kW (13" dia.) 36-48vdc traction motor? I need to find out if I can apply higher DC voltage such as 60-72vdc to this motor safely. Thanks for any input.

If the comm is clean and free of extra carbon you might be able to go as high as 160v without a zorch if you use some sanity. 144V USED to be a common target before modern semiductors which can control effective voltage were common.

It's a L/C time constant thing so fast pulses don't really get to max voltage before the voltage switches off
