Hi all,
I'm currently looking at building a spring loaded 18650 battery pack/module.
Instead of spotwelding the individual 18650 cells (what I normally used to do) I'm now using small nickel plated battery springs to connect each cell to a copper busbar. The cells, springs and busbars are clamped between the plates. Each module is 3.7V/100Ah (using 2500mAh cells) capable of delivering 320A max.
I was wondering if anyone has done this type of building before ?
Also very curious of the load each spring has to deliver to prevent contact bounce when driving over a bumpy road.
Any suggestions are more then welcome. I will put up some photos within the next days.
Paul
