I’m just about to do the high current wiring/linking for my new Sky Energy (or CALB) 180 Ah lithium pack and was wondering about the wisdom of using some of the pastes currently on the market. Is it recommended to just clean the terminals, straps and associated leads extremely well and assembly dry or should one use a jointing compound (paste) at the time of assembly?
BTW There are dissimilar metals involved copper, SS, brass and looks like ali as well....
In the past I have just insured all connections where very clean and flat etc and have not used any compound.
Also does anyone have a torque setting for the SS bolts on the CALB cell terminals?
Personally i like to goober everything in no-ox. Or even plain old vasalene is better than nothing. Corrosion sucks.
