Tesla Battery Modules

This picture of stacks of modules from a battery supplier just seems so wrong in several different ways. Considering the collection of modules would sell for ~$35,000-$40,000 US, why would they not spend the relatively small amount of money for a good rack system that would not put ~500lbs(227kg) on the bottom module, and have to slide them across each other to stack them up?:

Could be laziness. Or maybe they know for sure the weight is not an issue.

The value may seem high to us, may be pocket change to them?

Having handled these modules I can tell you the top and bottom, where the fragile cell current limiting wire "whiskers" are located, is protected by a very thin dimpled sheet of plastic. It's not something you want to put a lot of weight on or drag something across.
