I have heard that some chargers can operate in both directions. Is this true? Could a Tesla gen2 charger be programmed to produce 110V 60hz or 240V 60hz current? It would be interesting to have that as an option to act like a portable generator.
Not that any of the great minds have done and there is an obvious reason for that!. The tried and tested ones still include the cheap and available Volt inverter and the Leaf. with the price of chargers being high you may find you save money by selling a gen2 charger ($800-1000 is the going rate at the present) and buying a volt inverter.
