How much a small motor can produce so much power?(if they are the same as other)There is nothing advanced about a Tesla motor other than the level of bullshit its CEO spews.
They even lace the windings with string, like was done in the 1800's.
The motors on most models cannot be extricated from the gearcase.
What you wreckin would spinning tesla motor would be able to produce electricity same level as these days generators???Basic physics. Spin it faster.
The word is that a lot of Tesla drives get replaced under warranty. A few times in some cars.
Or can only be used as a motor? What you wreckin would spinning tesla motor would be able to produce electricity same level as these days generators???
You saying Tesla motor to use as a generator would be less efficient than having same KW 3 phase 8 poles generator? You would need to find the back-emf constant of the tesla motor to know how much voltage would be produced for rpm. Since it is powered from ~400 VDC then it might generate that much voltage at near the max rpm that it is rated.
A better generator would have stronger magnets closer to the air gap with many poles, e.g. 6,8,10 or more , with a 3-phase winding.
It would be interesting to see the bemf of the Ford motor with the hairpin end turn windings.
The thing is i can have tesla motors for way lower price then actual same KW generator. You saying Tesla motor to use as a generator would be less efficient than having same KW 3 phase 8 poles generator?
There are controllers and inventors from wind turbines,I think would be siutable.Tesla has made several motors. When people discuss using Tesla motors, they are still usually referring to the original Model S and Model X motors; these are all induction motors, and none of them are still in production. What motor is being asked about in this case?
Whether the motor is one of the old induction motors, the newer induction motor, or a permanent magnet motor, it won't work as a motor or a generator without a suitable controller... and the stock Tesla controller isn't usable without either modification or the use of a supervisory controller.
Okay captain negativity.Probably the worst possible combination you could come up with.
You have two competing motivators:
- Using junk you have laying around that could build the project cheaply but making a hackjob of it, and
- Spending a lot more to have something purpose built.
Instead, what you've come up with is spending a lot of money on something expensive that is poorly suited to the task, and then making a hackjob of it.
Either get a cheap motor and make it work, or buy a motor suited to a windmill. Heading in really any direction excepet where you are is going to have you save both money and effort.
