Now, as for specific technology:

There are lots of permanent magnets without rare earths - they just don't generally perform well enough for EVs. Anything billing this as "insane" or "shocking" is nonsense.

thanks for sharing that video @Functional Artist. Even though I don't take the claims in these videos at face value, it is interesting to me to hear a review of some of the claims.

This new motor tech is INSANE! I am literally SHOCKED! It's going to REVOLUTIONIZE the EV market!

The hairpin design is awesome, it's obvious how the power density is increased, you can just see it.

The hairpin windings were first used in a car in the GM EV-1, iirc. It's in all of Cascadia's (Borg-Warner's) motors, including the one @D&VsEVJeep are using in their Jeep Sahara conversion.

Revolutionary? It's over two decades old.
