I am in process of working on a 1993 dodge TELvan which has a 180 Volt GE separately excited shunt motor. The batteries are totally shot. I would like to do some basic testing on the motor before replacing the batteries, and I am looking at best easiest way to do it. I have thought about getting a variable DC power source but return on cost is questionable. I do have a second motor and controller.

Is it possible to do some testing at lower voltages like 12-24V
Thanks, Rod
