Tinkering along

Hi all,

New on the forum. I already have a Bolt/Ampera-e as a daily driver, so the necessity to build an EV is not that high unfortunately.
I am using EV batteries for my mostly offgrid home (not finished yet, and probably 11 months offgrid, not 12)
Our EV should be charged mostly by surplus solar power when home batteries are full.

I do have some older cars which I don't drive daily. I only use them for holiday roadtrips, so I cannot build a short range EV.
And the paperwork in Netherlands to convert is very annoying.
So I think about converting them to mild/light hybrids with only small electric motor support.

As a side project I am involved in helping with building an electric boat, not sure if that project continues.
