Aloha, all. I have been trying to find Thundersky 200ah and they seem hard to find or suppliers saying they are discontinuing them. I can get 160ah easier. What is the deal with them? thanks

What form factor are you looking for?

My understanding is the 200 Ah ThunderSky cell is (was) available in three different packaging styles.
Aloha, It does not really matter as I am looking for prices on 20 cells that will stand alone. They can be the 160ah size (11.5x7.25x2.75) or the 4" wide ones or the large 18"x11.5'x2.75".

thanks
Francis
The word on the 200Ah cells that were the same form factor as the 160Ah cells is that they were difficult to produce and actually manage the full 200Ah in that cell size. I figure many of them weren't quite 200Ah and they ended up being sold as smaller cells. I'll venture a guess that the profit margin on squeezing the maximum capacity in those cells and then sell them as 160Ah when they come out under 200Ah probably is something they want to avoid, profit margin issues. That's my guess, but the 200Ah in the 160Ah size is no longer available unless you are lucky and find some old or used stock of them somewhere but I don't see many people selling large LiFePO4 cells often.
Try:

http://evolveelectrics.com/ -- they use Alliance Renewable Energy as an importer/partner http://alliancerenewableenergy.com/. I got my cells from Evolve via Alliance, via a china direct order. Unfortunately, it took a *long* time due to some order snafu and holidays in china. But, the price was good.

Dave K also has a good reputation and has cells in stock. http://currentevtech.com/Lithium-Batteries-c1

Both have 200ah cells.

I have 158 of the 200ah cells in stock at the moment.
