Warp 9 adapter for ax15 transmission

Hello, I have an AX15 (aisin-warner) manual transmission with a 10 spline 1-1/8" input shaft that typically mates with an ice engine drive shaft. I will need to connect my electric motor drive shaft to this instead.

The spec sheet for the warp 9 electric motor says "The drive end shaft is bored for a pilot bearing and drilled & tapped for a 5/16 - 18 bolt."

I'm not sure what a pilot bearing is and whether that matters in my situation. Is there a known solution to adapt the 2 parts in my scenario?
