I shipped a large motorcycle engine (similar weight) from the US to brisbane.
I used UStoAus which was very easy and they can arrange all the transportation at either end. i think it cost about $400aus but they have a calculator on their website. Its shipped on a boat so takes some months but is significantly cheaper.
Additional taxes are applied when the value of the goods + shipping goes over $1000usd. It makes it much more expensive. you could consider writing the value of the goods as less to avoid this but i dont know the likelihood and consequences of being caught. somone i know did it and nothing happened
