What and where - contactors

In my project i have a 300ish V battery and am looking at contactors, Gigavac GV242MAB in particular and wondering whetheir there are different types of contactors for different uses in EV conversions or whether they all essentially do the same thing?

eg. What are Pre-charge contactors and are they any different to the negative and positive terminals (so can i just get 3x Gigavac GV242MAB and use them all for pre-charge, positive and negative ?

My understanding is the pre charge contactor doesnt have to be as beefy so you can save a little money. Consider an additional mid-pack contactor for safety. Consider whether your contactor control system has an economizer function or whether you require contactors with that function built-in.
