what is casing material for LiFePO4 (TS, CALB?)

Does anyone know what material the outside casing is for the TS and/or CALB cells are? I am wondering if it would be a practical alternative to heat-weld a 1/4 thick plastic plate on the 'end' cells in lieu of full perimeter strapping when using in conjunction with a top-bottom hold-down rail.

I hesitate to apply the heatgun unless I can be sure the materials match. Otherwise I think I will make the end plates an integral part of the hold down rails... still working on this because it may be difficult to strap up the whole block and then install it. so, I think I need a way to slide cells in, and apply the end clamps basically when I cinch up hold-downs.

Anybody wanting to post their solutions with mini-rachets, or jbolts, or other clamping mechanisms.... jump on in here! close-up pics of clamps and hold-down schemes all welcome. ;)

I know polyester resin does not stick to the cells, so I am guessing polyethylene of some sort is most likely, but it could also be a number of other things.

yeah... I KNOW most lead-acid casings are polypropylene, but i just thought I ask in case somebody really knew for sure.

Hmm, that's probably more likely as the case seems harder than even uhmw-pe. Please share if you find out for sure!
